Fruity and delicate
An ode to the great Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir, this plot is opposite the Clos de Vougeot with its exceptional Grand Cru terroir! The vines are planted wide and high, well rooted in deep marly clay soil. Pinot Noir reigns supreme on the 4.82 hectares and is given full expression with notes of fresh red fruit.
A very elegant, balanced Crémant de Bourgogne for cellaring, with delicate aromas of red fruit, vine peaches, fresh bread and honey. The grape variety is generously expressed in the long finish, with a hint of bitterness, a sign of the wine’s fiery youthfulness.
Food and wine pairing: pink meats, such as veal tenderloin, seasonal baby vegetables, pan-fried mushrooms.
2018 was an abundant, historic year, unprecedented in the history of Louis Bouillot, in a word, ex-ceptional! Generous, healthy and of excellent quality, this is a vintage that will be remembered. A relatively mild winter followed by a sunny spring got the year off to a good start, which was then characterized by two very contrasting periods: a particularly stormy spring and then a dry summer. The combination of these two periods produced wines of tremendous finesse.
