The flowers are giving way to the grapes

In Dennevy, at our plot in Couchois in southern Burgundy, the vines are undergoing a transformation process called ‘fruit set’. This is when the vine flowers give way to the grape berries.

Each pollinated flower becomes a minuscule grape. These tiny fruits, which are still barely visible, soon start to grow and form Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes.

If you take a close look at the vines, you can start to imagine the juicy grapes and rich flavours that will characterise our future Crémant de Bourgogne wines. More to follow… The 2024 vintage is on its way…
