In May, the vines do as they please!

The days are getting longer and the rays of sunshine are warming our vines, which are taking advantage of the opportunity to do whatever they want – so we have to step in to dampen their enthusiasm!

This is when debudding happens, one of the steps that ensures a high-quality eventual harvest. This is a painstaking task that can only be properly completed by hand with a trained eye.

Debudding consists of removing some of the vines’ young buds so that the sap is concentrated in the most promising shoots.
